I'm originally from the fair city of Glasgow and a musician at heart - albeit an agrophobic one with a fear of crowds. My first love is the guitar (I've been playing for 20 years now). But, as my great grandmother predicted I've been hooked by the digital recording/production revolution, especially now with the sheer availability and relative cheapness involved in getting a half decent sound. Its really nice to play even a small part in the downfall of the fat bastards in the 'Industry' too of course. Myspace, the net in general and the whole concept of putting music online mindblowing to my poor brain...concepts like 'ONLINE RECORDING'... My god, I've known myself to wake up in a cold sweat just thinking about it!...
I, and many others like me couldn't do this 10 years ago even, now I can juggle being a full time dad and be a wanabee (aspiring?) producer So, the last few years has seen me drift over to the dark side of the studio and these days I mostly write songs purely to give myself something to work on in my studio/laboratory/livingroom/madhouse.
This Myspace is more about giving me the opportunity to let the world hear some of my stuff as a songwriter and more importantly my development in the production sense, so, it won't always be my songs you hear. I'm addicted to microphones, yes microphones, hate full-stops, and I get a real buzz out of recording people and things and just about anything that I can mash up into my Mac.
I love the way the world of music has widened over the last decade thanks to hugely to the internet. I moved to Sweden with my wife and 2 little girls earlier this year, Gothenburg to be exact, so I guess my aim is to be able to build up contacts and gear and ultimatly to work professionally, and set up a kind of Online recording thing.....Collaboraters/co-conspirators/partners in crime/willing subjects are welcome always.
