About Me
In late 2003, Damian C. put an advert in the laundrette of the renowned (although I'm not sure what for) Cardiff university halls Talybont. Gavin spied this advert, and on Halloween 2003 Gavin & Damian C. met for the first time in the Taf. Damian R. soon spotted the same advert and the first incarnation of the Rebecca Riots were formed, with Damian C. on guitar and vocals, Gavin on bass and Damian R. on drums. The debut gig took place in the Toucan bar in Cardiff, at a battle of the bands that scared the daylights out of every band member. Various gigs followed, from Cardiff Barfly (where they have supported The Subways, The Paddingtons and Kill City) to a gig in a tent made from Albanian beaver skin at Coed Hills commune outside Cardiff.
However, being musical pretentious types, the band soon became depressed at something or other, and decided to add another member, a drummer, with Damian R. moving to bass and Gavin to guitar. After a couple of auditions, the band settled on Tom, and have never once regretted their decision! Tom's drumming and the addition of an extra guitar has radically changed their music, and the Riots are now some sort of combination of metal, prog, rock and randomness. Recently they came second in the Cardiff uni LMS battle of the bands after not playing a gig for nine months, and now plan to gig much more regularly, starting September 2006.
Alas, in July of 2006 Damian R. departed for the sunnier climes of London. We wish him all the best, for he is legendary.
His replacement, Mr. Max A. Bailey of Tysoe, Warwickshire, (who won a postal competition by bribing us the most) is being trained as we speak. Soon he shall be ready, and unleash his bass "skillz" upon a world that frankly isn't ready for them.

Evolution, not revolution
Damian R.'s last gig has been and gone, and while his "inspirational" final speech (perhaps the first thing he has ever said at a gig) consisted of telling people to hurt each other, he will be sorely...
