About Me

Algernon Pictures consists of Dan Horn (Director), Chris D. McQuillan (Producer / D.O.P. / Sound) and Jonathan Ranson (Writer) - all Media Production graduates from Northumbria University.
Algernon Pictures have over 40 short films, music videos and documentaries to their credit with exhibition at The Side Gallery, The Carling Academy, The Tyneside Cinema, BBC and ITV as well as numerous smaller exhibitions throughout the country.
With plans afoot for new film projects, Algernon Pictures has also operated as a Film & Video Production service since 2006, offering full in-house production and post-production services to businesses and companies in the North East of England. Their clients include the Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University's Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning - Music & Inclusivity.
