When you think of a classic, what comes to mind is something unforgettable, lasting, and of mass appeal. Kelvin "Klasiq" Murray, is on his way to becoming just that.
Making some serious noise for the streets here in the Orlando music scene, Klasiq is starting to make his mark as a producer. “When I was nine, I went to my first concert in Central Park and saw Phil Collins, since then, I was hookedâ€. Klasiq has evolved from being a drummer, playing drums in state competitions, to working in his home-based studio composing beats that are laced with individuality and refreshing creativity.
His beats have been sought after by the likes of local artists such as Treal, All Pro’s Traffik, and some not so local artists such as Dipset’s Jim Jones and J.R. Writer and Joe Hound just to name a few. His tracks have been heard on numerous mix tapes including DJ Kay Slay, Big Mike, DJ Kurupt and many others.
“My goal is not only to earn my spot in this pop game, but to transcend into movie scores, commercials, and wherever I can take my soundâ€. His humble demeanor and hustle mentality is obvious to everyone he meets. “Never have a plan b, stick to plan a and go all in†is Klasiq’s official anthem. With this as his personal motto, he gives himself no other option but to be a true KLASIQ.
