About Me

I have played fiddle and pipes since I was a wee boy. I've written a few tunes here and there. Formed a band (Archie and Farquhar) when I was 13 and went on to record an album "She's Good on the croft," 9 years later in the year 2000 at watercolour studios. I recorded a solo album in 2003/4 at phatcontroller productions, Isle of Skye titled "The Ghost Shirt." I also recorded with Toronto hip-hop act Rythmicru. I was lucky to have some top class artists who came and played on my recordings including-Peter Morrison - Peatbog Faeries, Innes Hutton - Peatbog Faeries, Ian Copeland - Peatbog Faeries, Seumas Maclennan - Brammacks + Willie Turnup + stand in Peatbogs, Andy Thorburn - Andy Thorburn, David Simons - Sterioglo, Graham Findlay - Broadford Big Band, Ali Pentland, Dave Hunter, Mhairi Hall, Fraser Shaw, Donnie Herrach.I have played with Mylo, and supported Reggae acts Luciano and Julian Marley. Recently I purchased a cockerel who joined a wee band here called the Bramax. Strange line up, a cat, a mouse and a cock. They formed for a laugh but seem to be getting more and more gigs with some talk of an album. You'll see Bramax in my top friends list. I have played all over the place, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Canada, Israel and USA. A lot of these tours have been with a band called Beggars row which I joined two years ago. They have a few albums (from before I joined), DVDs and are also planning another album this year. Beggars' row are also in my top friends list. I've got sore fingers now so I'm off! Tell you more sometime... or will I?!

Chillin out on the Isle of Skye

Quiet here on Skye right now - Time of year. Last tour was in Israel which was fun + mad/scary. Never got to see much of the place though - next time!
