DESIGNER, ARTIST, RUN AN ART ZINE CALLED "PAVEMENT LICKER" AND 6 " 6 " WITH A BEARDOrko creates an abstract universe with faces based on the dark, western-world frightening and little understood worlds of Tiki and Voodoo Masks. Orko has had his work shown in New York, Japan, London and Sweden, and has had work commissioned from Diesel - Dream Film, Qee toys, Firetrap for their Twisted Thoughts Hotel, Rizla and Nike. Orko's work has been published several times with; Stick 'em up, The Art of Rebellion and De-Face the Face to name check but a few.PAVEMENT LICKER is a free fanzine available .. and offline and aims to provide a platform for artists and writers to show their work, without pushing a particular agenda or manifesto. It can now be found in London, New York, Melbourne, Moscow, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Scandinavia.Pavement Licker was hatched in the mind of artist the ORKO in 2003, and it crawled into life in a dirty West End pub in the following months when he got friend and writer Josh Jones involved to edit it.Each edition is different and is full of surreal, dark, funny and thought provoking pictures and prose. Artists of note who have contributed to the lo-fi pages of the Licker include the bizarre world of David Shrigley, stencil artist Banksy, and Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett, as well as American artists Kelsey Brookes and Vanessa Lam.http://www.pavementlicker.com..
