About Me

Hey there....my name is R.J. I was born on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, however, 7 months after I was born my parents moved to my Mom's hometown...a very small town in NW Washington State called Ferndale (15 mins south of the Canadian border). In high school, I did the All-American thing....varsity football, varsity baseball, leadership, was Homecoming King, worked an after-school job, and even bucked hay bales in the summer! :D Upon graduating high school, I moved to Seattle and attended the University of Washington where I got my Bachelors degree in Zoology (no, I'm not using my degree now - LOL). I also was in a fraternity and met some lifelong friends....definitely some of my best friends. So many good times were had in that big mansion and so much beer was drank too! Ah, the memories!!After graduation, I remained in Seattle for about a year, but before I left Seattle, two of my fraternity brothers and I backpacked through Europe for 2 months. What an amazing trip and a humbling experience! It really was a once in a lifetime trip. We hit 18 cities in 12 countries. I've got a great scrapbook that I look at from time to time to reminisce, however, pics do no justice to what I saw and experienced. From The David Statue to The Alps to The Louvre to the Amalfi Coast.....it was an extraorindary experience that is priceless. From Seattle, I moved to Salinas, CA, near Monterey and stayed there for 9 months. Man, I miss Cali! Every Sunday, I would drive to Seaside and sit on the beach and just listen to the waves crash on the beach. There's nothing like sitting on the beach and feeling the breeze and listening to the therapeutic sounds of the ocean. I can sit on the beach for hours! I miss it!From California, I moved to Phoenix, AZ (in 2001) and have been here since. I am starting my new career in Corporate Travel with a fantastic, growing company headquartered here in Arizona. I stay very, very busy but love it and love to take care of my clients. There's no such thing as "half-ass". :) I do stay very busy with work, softball (I play for two teams: Charlie's Tangible Tanning Diablo's and AZ Joxx), working out and hiking. My Diablo softball team is pretty competitive....we travel around and play in tournaments all over the country including: L.A., Long Beach, San Diego, Dallas, Washington DC, & Ft. Lauderdale. I love playing ball and I love my team. Moving to PHX was a great thing...I have made some phenomenal friends who I feel so blessed to have in my life. Some people measure happiness by how much money they have in the bank....they should try to measure it with the amount of good friends they have and how much fun they can have. I can meet friends at Starbucks and be rolling on the floor laughing and the next day have a heart to heart poolside with them....those are the types of friendships I have and, yes, I am so fortunate to have them. That's me in a nutshell....if you like what you read, hit me up. I'm a nice guy who likes to have a great time!

I'd like to meet more guys and gals in the Phoenix area as well as in other parts of country. You can never have enough friends, right?! It's always fun to go on trips and vacations to different cities and already know some people there.
