Dear MySpacers,For those of you who read these bios...here's a nice, detailed letter to let you know how sometimes magical things are born from seemingly "normal" encounters.I met Shane a few years back when I was alter-ego'ing with my fauxvarian electro rock pop band Lederhosen Lucil and he was bass'ing with folk-tinged indie rock guy Cooper Thomson. Bloodshot Bill - Montreal rockabilly legend - introduced us after the show. We liked each other's music. It was a strange, eclectic night.One day I was in a bassist bind so I called up Shane. He figured out all the songs before the first practice and wowed me with his lovely voice. Since then, he has sported garden gnome, killer bee, nerdling, and line-cook outfits as part of my back-up band for Lederhosen Lucil. We spieled New York, Austin, Montreal, Toronto, and lots of small towns in between.After years of touring as Lederhosen Lucil, I longed to start a new project because I had all this non-Lederhosen material. Shane divulged to me in a moment of secrecy that he had hundreds of songs (5-8 per night on average). He played some for me and I was completely blown away! They were lovely! He was delighted!Lucille officially formed in January 2006. We recorded and released our first indie EP in March 2006..........
