SPECIAL NOTE(more like a disclaimer....): My "top friends" are ALL of my friends- not just the ones you find down below.Don't feel like there is an order- EVERYONE is important- this is just a few of them, and I rotate them around......My SISTER and NEPHEW are #40- but not really-get it?(click on any of them.....they ARE ALL COOL!) The world is full of amazing people- it is not limited by what you see on the surface.......................... I play music for a living-Clarinet mostly now, sometimes the saxophone...... I am very fortunate and inspired to do so-activities include: Orchestras, Contemporary Classical, Pit Orchestras, Ballets, Operas, Improvisation, and Recording for Jingles, Television Shows, Cast Recordings, and Motion Pictures. I have gotten to work with a huge list of who's who in music, from any genre imaginable (Well over 150 major motion picture releases, loads of TV, video games, many- many- many leading figures in Contemporary Classical Music,just about as many luminaries in Jazz. ASK- and it will be a point of conversation!)Right now, constant collaborative efforts include membership in contemporary classical ensembles XTET and California E.A.R. Unit. Additionally; Pasadena Symphony, Mladi Chamber Orchestra, and random- or not so random(err.......IMPROVISED MUSIC......) events with a cast of about 40 friends, in various groups/ configurations. I also often play as a substitute in many groups (THANK YOU EVERYONE!...) and whomever else conjures up the idea to have a guy come play, when another clarinetist/saxophonist/melodica/ turntablist/beatpoet/ is sick, busy on another gig, or in need of someone "extra".... Would have never imagined that I would have experienced all the diversity that I have had (the wonderful opportunity(ies) to live out). I've got some things and stuff (mostly a LOT OF books and recordings....)and a lot of great friends in ALL WALKS OF LIFE. Junior high school friends, High School friends, College friends, Music friends, Golf Friends, Poker friends, Actor friends, Comedian friends, etc. It is always important to realize that MUSICIANS actually can, and DO get to do what we love for a living, and dreams come true sometimes...!!!!!!.. Its nice to be healthy, and have lots of great friends out there!
