About Me

About me, hmmm ....
normally I like talking about me but this ...
Ok, I'm the typical average joe, doing average things, everything pretty average!!!
So, everyone that's still reading must really be intrested in me than I give you something interesting: I'm a tall, blond German with blue eyes.
Maybe not that tall and not that blond but a little of everything.... Average again *sniff*
I'll stop trying to be funny now, it most probably did not work at all. Anyway, if're still reading you must be tough.
What I surely can say about me is that I'm mainly good-humored and not quite touchy with almost nothing. I'm definately individual, I do the things I actual like or imagine that I would like them and I don't care if tousands or no one did it before. I'm straight and outgoing but I don't need to be the center of the world. I can deal with it but don't need it.
If you go to one of Berlin's tousands of concerts and see the mass standing as far as possible away from the stage and doing nothing and than see a guy dancing, clapping in the open space that will probably be someone not living in Berlin or me.
Here is a cool song, saw this Band yesterday at a tiny local club in Berlin called Dunker. I was needed to animate the people to clap after the songs (sounds quite arrogant but sadly it's the truth)
Patenbrigade Wolff - Ostberliner Bauarbeiter - club edit
(taken from www.patenbrigade.com)
In the end I'll say that I really like Berlin and it's gothic club scene, it's most likely the biggest in the world. Therefore no better place to be.

My Interests

My biggest interest is a pretty selfish thing, my own personal harmony. I find it while listening to music, dancing, reading, sitting in a cafe and I do all of this often and excessive. But I also find it going out with friends, walking in the rain or snow, feeling Berlins cold in the wintertime, strolling throu small streets at night when the houses seem to narrow to each other to resist to snowy winter night while the trees on the sidewalk are freezing to death. That's a quiet cool athmosphere for thinking (as long as you know that you'll be back i the warm in about an hour ;) ).
Also like arts but not everything what someone lables as art, it has to affect me...
I like new things too what ever kind. I assume it's more the exploration feeling. Therefore like traveling too, of course.

In the end I like a lot of different things...

I'd like to meet:

Everyone!!!

Everyone who is willing to use his brain. Like to meet peps than want to discuss opinions, who stand in for theirs and been abled to explain why. To make it clear the term "willing to use the brain" does NOT mean you has to share my opinion, I pretty much appreciate other's opinions.

I also like to meet people who go to the clubs for the music played (and not for the peps out) and like to dance (also as the only one on the dancefloor if the song is the right one) as much as I do.

And in the end I like to meet people who teach me English a better way :).

Music:

I'm dying for music, actully I feel dead without... I like bands/songs form different genres even if I don't like the actual genre at a global level, e.g. classical music, pop, rock, country, rap. Mostly I listen to modern dark electronic music (EBM, Electro, Industrial, Synthie and whatever all the other styles are called). Following I list some of these bands I really like:
glis, combichrist, soman, leaether strip, sonar, klinik, seabound, NIN, dioxyde, haujobb, beta, psycobitch, icon of coil, decoded feedback, tactical sekt, aslan faction, feindflug, mind.in.a.box, this morn' omnia, synapscape, kiew, fixmer/mc carthy, sitd, asthetic perfection, sleepwalk, dismantled, cycloon, tet, accessory, ptyl, xpq-21, the azoic, kobe, cap, destroid, god module, pygmy children, panic on the titanic, informätik, individual totem, state of the union, FGFC820, supreme court, etc.

this not all I listen to and I know some "big" names are missing, but this is the stuff I like most at the moment and if some of the big players are missing be it. I'm not (blindly following) the mass even mass sometimes took the same direction. I often listen and buy stuff of new groups first to find some new directions in the common styles and second to support them.

Movies:

I'm a big fan of movie theaters. A few movies I like: 13th worrier, 5th element, american history x, apocalypse now, bad boys, blade runner, Crounching Tiger - Hidden Dragon, dark city, desperados, dobermann, dune, falling down, fight club, final fantasy, from dusk till down, full metal jacket, gattaca, house of the flying daggers, ice age, indiana jones, imortal (cool euro-SciFi about NYC) mib, million dollar baby, shrek, sin city, starship troopers, the sixed sense, underworld
on general: all kind of samurai movies, also sci-fi stuff, movies that tell a good story and create interesting characters; finally everything that affects me deeply.

One of the actors I realy like is Brad Pitt. He plays crazy charaters that's great. I have a theory about him and the characters he plays... the few people that know me good enough will know what I'm talking about, for all the other you don't know as well as you maybe thought :). So, try harder ...

Television:

Yes I'm intrested in my TV. Everyone who has been to my house will comply, due to I need it to play my cd's. (few things are quite different at my place)

But I realy like Babylon5 (got it all on DVD) and the simpsons

Sadly it broke right today ... *sniff*

Books:

I list the authors I read and the book/s I most liked, of some writers I have more stuff than I'll list here:
e.a.poe (selected stories), d.duncan (kings blade sequel), r.jordan (all 10 wheel of time books, pre-ordered the new one), g.orwell (1984), s.lem (polish sci-fi author, know the titles only in German: "der Futuroligische Kongress"), d.gemmel (almost everything), n.gaiman (all books, liked "American gods" very much), a.burgess (clockwork orange), h.g.wells ("war of the worlds", read it long before they made the movie ...), l.hearn (tales of the otori sequel), a.c.clark (2010), o.wilde (the picture of dorian gray), sir w.scott ("ivanhoe", that was extremly hard to understand, for someone that is no native english speaker), f.herbert (first 4 books of the dune sequel), kay meyer (hex, quite cool book), p.k.dick (of course "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" and some others mostly the great short stories), r.e.howard (conan) and and and like rice, bradbury, clancy, tolkien, tolstoi.
I also read german authors like Hohlbein, kafka, dürrenmatt (actual he's swiss, but that counts for german from an american persperctive ;) ), remarque, frisch, brecht and that's far not all.
Oh, I right now saw I read Asimov too, of course...

Heroes:

My heroes are all the people how are hidden in the crowd all the time but willingly stand still when all others are keel down.
All the ones that jump in to help others when everyone passes by. Everyone who risk everything the help others and the ones he loves. thousands of people who work as volunteers for the poor/dissabled/unfortunates. Everyone who stands up again after devastating events, clean up, take what's still usable and get rid of the rest without complaining about everything.

Everyone who loves with passion coming out of the deep of their hearts and die for it (to be taken with a grain of salt).

and of course I strongly hope that I'm on the way to follow this examples and don't get lost in the few counting moments.

To be clear everyone could be my hero; you could be my hero.
