My Interests

I LOVE to read all kinds of things. Having the newspaper at my door has made me happy every morning for years. I also like to write and wish I had better discipline so I could accomplish more with it. Most recently I've been writing "erotica" if it even qualifies to be called that. I have all sorts of ideas of things I'd like to write, time will tell if I actually get it all out. I love walking and being out in nature. I love animals, have two cats and two fish in my home and have many special dogs, cats, birds/others in my life. Would love to have a dog someday when I have more room and time to devote. I like to travel. Enjoy going to the movies. Like having dinner with friends, out or in, the dinner or the friends. 420 friendly. Like having cozy tv-watching evenings with family/friends. I love going to concerts and hearing music, all kinds, most kinds and also like hearing stand-up comedy.

I'd like to meet:

adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

I like most music but can pretty much pass on country, although when over-exposed I have been known to start singing along anyway. There's some jazz that's too sketchy for me and makes me nervous. Among my favorites are Santana, Steely Dan, Foo Fighters, Sade, Sarah Mclachlan, and so much more

Movies:

I love watching movies, at the theater or at home. Netflix is awesome and I"m getting into the digital cable now. I just watched "Mrs.Harris" on demand I don't always like them mainstream stuff, especially the big action flicks with mega-special effects and ridiculous too many explosions. I tend to go for independent, low-budget, or foreign films first. I want to see new stories, be exposed to different ideas or cultures, stimulate my brain and not get stuck in the repetitive grooves of some of this trash Holly wood is cranking out. What's with all these dreadful remakes and beyond-stupid comedies? I just don't get it when there is so much imagination and talent in this world you would think they could, and would want to do better, not to mention the $$$. But anyway, I'll list movies later.....style body { background-image: url('http://dl5.glitter-graphics.net/pub/58/58495quwdgc15li. jpg'); background-attachment: fixed; background-repeat: repeat; }

Television:

Right now my favorite TV show is "Big Love". I'm intrigued by the whole concept of polygomy. Other than that, I don't have many regular shows I watch. Reality tv is out of control but I do still enjoy "Survivor" and my favorite is "Wife Swap" Hmmm, is a theme emerging?? Anyway, other than that I like Dateline NBC, 20/20 etc depending on the topic. I really like having digital cable with the ON DEMAND feature so I can catch some good movies and documentaries and not have to deal with commercials....Sundance, IFC, LOGO I'm embarassed to admit, but I do occasionally record "The Young and the Restless" so I can enjoy discussing with my neighbor Betty Lou.

Books:

Reading is one of my favorite things in the whole world and my interests are many and varied. I love reading about real people's lives and different countries. I like some fiction and true crime-Ann Rule is the best in that catagory. I thought"The Power on Now" by Eckhart Tolle was amazing and made sense to me. The last book I read was "Appointment at the Ends of the World" memoirs of a wildlike vetrinarian. I've enjoyed the "Oprah" endorsed books. I love learning about new things in general and appreciate good writing.

Heroes:

My #1 hero is Nick Snow see www.nicksnow.com then there's Dan Savage,Oprah, Beck Weathers and Immaculee Ilibagiza http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251.shtml?cha nnel=60Sunday
