"My main reason for wanting to pursue this field is to talk to the world through music. To unite people through music. To touch people. To laugh and cry with people. I want the world to listen to my music and identify with the themes and messages of my songs. In my world, music is everything. I have an appreciation for every type of music. It is my duty as an artist. Universally, music is an art, music is an expression of self. Music is one of God's gifts to the world. One night, long long ago, I had a dream. I was on stage looking out into an endless sea of people. People of all races and kinds. The lights were hot. My heart was racing. My soul was smiling. Melodi has performed in numerous venues from New York City to Miami. She was recently awarded Hudson Valley Original Music New Artist of the year, and is working on her CD release. She has been playing the piano since age 3, and guitar since 2001.
