I hate trying to come up with something to write in these "little mini-biographies." What can I say in a small paragraph to make myself appear witty and interesting? Not much... my life isn't glamorous or even particularly interesting.
I live in Northern Virginia, which has taken some getting use to. (I am a country girl and I hate traffic!) I have two very cute, not-too-bright dogs. I also have one super cute ferret (aka carpet shark). I work in a research lab, and can actually say that I enjoy my job (most days), but unfortunately I am allergic to work (I'm not joking on this one I swear). I enjoy hanging out at the bar down the street after work with friends, having a cold beer, and playing some darts. (I love Thursday Happy Hours!)
Oh! and I really suck at this thing they call HTML, so ignore the random characters and non-functional icons!

My Interests

I have always been told that the best way for you to realize your dreams is to write them down. So here we go. I want to ... own my own home, be debt free, join the peace corp for at least 2 years in a french speaking country, backpack the entire appalaichain with my hubby, eat out anytime I want to and not worry about how to pay the bill or feel guilty about spending the money, travel the world (to be specific Bangkok, Greece, France, London, Australlia, Egypt, China, and Japan), quit my job and be able to spend as much time as I want doing what I want when I want (so I guess based on the above independently wealthy would be fantastic!), sleep in, own a small zoo, see Dave Matthews in concert finally, get a graduate degree or even a PhD, learn to knit something other than a scarf... This is a running list, so I will update it as they come to me.

I'd like to meet:

I love new meeting people, but I try to stay away from the crazies and the bad drivers. Unfortnately, most crazy people don't know they are crazy, and I everyone I talk to thinks they are excellent drivers - coincident? I think not!

Music:

Dave Matthews Band, Fuel, Live, Guns N Roses, U2, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride(pretty much anything country), as long as it is not rap... I prob. like it.

Movies:

Beauty & the Beast, Harry Potter, The Shawshank Redemption, Love Actually, Ever After, When Harry Met Sally, What Dreams May Come, Crash, Bridgett Jones,

Television:

Prison Break, 24, House, American Idol, Simpsons, Family Guy, La Femme Nikita, Buffy, Charmed, Angel.
Invader Zim!

And anything with dancing hamsters!

Books:

The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wuthering Heights, Return of the Native, Harry Potter, The Thorn Birds, Enchantment, Christy, anything by David Eddings, Robert Ludlem, or Lawrance Sanders,the Shopaholic Series, female british romantic comedy type books are fun too. (I know "chic" books right?)

Heroes:

My parents who support everything I do and help any time they can (even though I'm all grown up and married),Lisa who bravely fought a losing battle with cancer,Ben for believing in me through everything and most of all for loving me.
