All right so I wanted this "about me" section to actually tell you something about me for a change. So I thought I would talk about where I have been so far in life and where I think I am at now =)I was born in a small town in northern California called Sonora. I went to elementary school at Soulsbyville Elementary School till the 6th grade. After that we moved just a little further up north (about 14 miles up the road) to a place called Twain Harte. The town was named after Mark Twain and Bret Harte. This landed me in Twain Harte Elementary School. After that I went to Summerville High School for about a semester then transferred to Sonora High. Well I was really fed up with school after I turned 16 so I dropped out. Around the age of 12 though I had started coding in basic on a commodore 64. I was hooked on computers at that point. For the longest time all I can remember is wanting to learn enough to write video games. But we will get back to that.So after sitting around for about a year at the age of 17 seeing I was not going anywhere I moved with a friend of mine and his father to a small town in Missouri called Sparta. I tried to go back to school but guess what I still hated it =). So I got many bull shit jobs. I stayed and tried to make Missouri work for me but after 3 years decided it was time to get back on track with what my original plans where. I called my oldest brother in Los Angeles and asked him if I could stay with him till I got things sorted out down there. As always with my family he was ready to help in any way he could. So off to LA I went.I started spending part of my summers down in Los Angeles with my brother at the age 12. He was the one that gave me the commodore 64 that got me started coding. I always loved the city and wanted to move there since I was a kid. Well now I was doing it. After about a month and a half of job searching my brother got me an interview with a company that at the time was called CitySearch.com. They started me on late night shifts (which was totally my schedule anyways) watching over the nightly processes and making sure all the machines stayed up. This is when I first got introduced to Linux. My boss was happy to see that within a week I had my Linux workstation all decked out and customized. He was also very pleased with how I only needed to be told once what to do and never had to be told again. So this was back in 97 when the Internet boom was still going strong. There was VC being thrown around everywhere and times where all good for Internet start-ups. We had kegs of beer every Friday in our office and though the hours could brutal (I once pulled a 36 hour shift) man it was a blast. I was young (20) and very gainfully employed. Not only that I was working with computers which I love.This is when a friend I worked with got me started on going to industrial, gothic and fetish clubs. Also around this time I met the first girl I ever really loved and almost married. She too was into the industrial and gothic scene though we did not meet at one of the clubs. She worked at a Johnny Rockets down the street from my apartment. She is a fantastic woman and we didn't make it because she felt her life was on a different track. Can't fault someone for wanting to go in another direction in life right. Anyways I lost touch with here but through the grape vine I hear she is married with a child now. I hope she is happy and doing well. After we split up I started hitting the club scene a lot more. Boy did I ever meet some interesting people. Had many girls who where friends but no real girlfriend to speak of. Now I have never been into drugs all that much. I smoked pot when I was a teenager but it always gave me a headache and I'd go to sleep like 15 minutes after doing it. Not my idea fun so it never took with me. Plus I've always been pretty much anti drugs as there are few out there that don't have detrimental side effects. But one night I was at a swingers party at friends house and a bunch of people where doing X. At first I was just going to baby-sit my friends and make sure none of them got into trouble. After watching them for a while though I thought it looked like something I'd like to try. This is very rare for me. I've seen just about every drug there is done at one time or another and never felt that way. So I took some and I liked it. But being me I kept it in very strict check. Over the next 4 years I probably did it maybe 16 times. It really started to lose its splendor after a lot of drama started with my friends.On a side note I've never been a true swinger as I've never been involved with a girlfriend and been at these parties. Also I don't think it's a lifestyle I could lead with someone I really wanted to be a part of my life. I do however understand it and don't pass any kind of judgment on those who do lead their life in this fashion. As a matter of fact I don't pass judgment on anyone for how they choose to live there sexual lives because what business is it of mine right!!So after that whole scene went south I started going out dancing to hip-hop clubs with some other friends of mine. I love to dance and I use to be good at it. Needless to say there where many a fun night out on the town.After a while Los Angeles started to lose its splendor for me as well. I was getting fed up with work politics. Many of my friends where getting fired from where I now worked which was now TicketMaster Online. My younger brother was moving to Rogue River Oregon to be closer to his wife's family and to start his own. I was about 26 at the time and had been to Oregon once on a 3 week vacation. We all came up to visit my sister-in-laws family. I liked the peace and quite and as much as I had hated it growing up it looked like maybe I still had some small town left in me after all. The people of LA where just starting to seem pretentious and unconcerned with life outside there own. TicketMaster made the call easy for me firing me 2 weeks before my brother was to leave. So off I went to good old Southern Oregon. I thought I'd be content with working in a computer shop. Man I've been wrong in my life before and this was another one of those times.The storeowner turned out to be a joke and the clients OH MY GOD. No I can't make your 486 SX run a Pentium. No you cannot be Internet ignorant and run without a virus scanner. Yes everyone gets enlarge your penis emails its called spam. No the chain email will not bring you bad luck for 7 years because you deleted it instead of forwarding it.So yeah I wasn't cut out for dealing with other people computers. So I went to work for a private party building him a website and inventory tracking system. This was much more to my liking and the guy turned out to be a really good friend of mine. The company he was running was bought out by a bigger over seas company and I now work for them. I had a girlfriend out here for a little bit and I really thought she was the one. Remember when I told you I've been wrong before hahaha. She is very delusional and needs to get her head on strait. So now I'm at a place where I'm trying to just get me in order I guess. I'm now someone who is far more content with being at home and spending time with my friends and family. They are my number one. I've done my party days and partied harder them most. I can't remember a weekend in LA where I didn't spend at least $500 a night going out Friday and Saturday. So kind of in the been there done that mode when it comes to partying. Though I've to say I miss the shape dancing all night kept me in and yes I'd dance from 9:30 pm till 3 am. Ok this is really long but hey this is me =) If you want to know more message me.
