About Me

Living in the country for almost two years now. The mobile home got pimped big time--although we are over-run with mice, spiders, and now puppies!!! Pennie (the snakebite survivor) had nine (yes NINE) pretty puppies four weeks ago this Saturday. What we will do with them all, I don't know...anybody want one? They are beagle-mix pups: mom is a true tri-color beagle and dad is a...mutt. But a sweet and loyal mutt, at least.The real house is unofficially underway since we broke ground back in January/February and drew up the plans. We have named it Casa de Suenos and I seriously hope we can start "actual" building sometime during 2009--but 2010 is cool with me, too.We may also become rattlesnake wranglers...we have seen as many as three in one day, within 100 yards from the house and the worst: on the front step--obviously this is people and dog territory. We have watched videos on YouTube for how to catch/kill/skin them, but I haven't found one yet about how to cook one. My rule is: I'm a vegetarian, but I'll eat what I can kill myself. I can kill a fish, a shrimp, a crawfish, and now a rattlesnake. I don't want to kill them out of spite, but if it is me, my dogs, and my kids, or them, I'm bringing down my heel to crush their cursed heads--poor things. It's a shame to let all that meat go to waste...Does this make me even more like Dangergirl? I think yes.
