My nutshell life....or is it that I'm the nut and the shell is my life?

About Me

After typing many profiles, one would think that they would get easier to type...but I have always had a hard time trying to sum up what I'm all about in the smallest amount of time without giving up too much information, but at the same time wanting to make people think "Hmmm....interesting!" I am very happily married with children, and I am always on the lookout for new people to chat with, with the understanding that I don't spend much time online. After pondering what to do with my life, and not just be someone's wife or mom, I had finally decided to pursue my love of making people feel and look great by going to cosmetology school. It only took me forever to start, but I have been having the time of my life reinventing myself and becoming happier with myself than I have been in years. I was a stay at home mom for a long time. Along the way I lost my sense of self. Its hard to relate to adults when the people you interact with most are in elementary school and a toddler. Knowing the whole spongebob squarepants song word for word will not get you far in a conversation. So I decided that after slaving away in a factory and coming home smelling like I had marinated in only the finest of motor oils around, I took a chance at going to cosmetology school. I have always wanted to go, but never really had much confidence in myself. I think that being older than the average student has given me a little bit of an edge. I'm paying for it, I have the drive and desire to be the best I can be. It has given me a huge confidence boost and I don't think that I would have appeciated it as much when I was younger. I have a 4.0 (yes, we take real tests...anatomy..chemistry..etc..)But best of all is the fact that I am doing something that I love to do. I enjoy going to school, and look forward to continuing my education after I graduate. I do hair (cut(shear, razor, and clipper), color, style, perm, relax, hair treatments)I give amazing facials which I also incorporate arm and leg massage. Waxing (brow, lip, cheek, chin, arm, whole and half leg, underarm, bikini, brazillian, back, and chest) Manicures and pedicures (natural nail) Blended nail tips. False eyelashes (they look natural, and I even wear them and apply them on myself) Makeup application.I have a lot of different interests, and have always been willing to try new things as long as they aren't too bizarre. The only true way to find out what anyone is really like, you must meet in person. There are a lot of "nice" people online, but in person they are the total opposite of what they portray. I have met several people, and most of them are liars. But there are some people who are honest about themselves and I can honestly say that they are a rare bunch.Come say hi if you like, I may not get right back to you, but if you have a life like I do, then you will understand .I'm not interested in internet only friendships. I don't have countless hours on my hands to check my email or messages on any regular basis. If you are looking for someone to help you make a style change, or to help you keep up the style you already have, let me know and I'll get back to you with contact information.

My Interests

I have too many to list, just ask.

I'd like to meet:

I'm not too picky.... if you can form a complete sentence and carry on a conversation, I will respond. I like people in general and give most people a fair shake. I like people who are fun, outgoing, and not too afraid to actually meet in person. I am a very open and honest person, and look for the same quality in others. I don't have many friends that are my age, and the freinds I have are just as busy (if not more) as I am. I would like to meet women who would like to get together for girls night out!

Music:

Evanescence, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, Seether, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Alice In Chains, Puddle Of Mudd, The Killers, Cold, Eighteen Visions, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Deftones, Front 242, Hinder, Incubus, My Chemical Romance, Stone Temple Pilots, Dave Matthews Band, Top 40

Movies:

Anything but gore-fest, splatter the walls with blood, let's see how realistic we can make death look in the hopes of making the audience violently sick.....not for me. Give me a good psychological thriller, even something a bit "creepy" and I'm OK. Comedies, Bill's and my favorite movie? "Eurotrip" I love a good twisted plot, something deep and sometimes disturbing (emotionally). "The Butterfly Effect" comes to mind and of course "The Sixth Sense". I love movies that can scare me because of the thrill factor, something that can keep me on the edge of my seat and scare me psychologically, not visually. My oldest daughter looks like Dakota Fanning, watching "Man on Fire" tore me up!!

Television:

House. There are other things on tv? I am lloking forward to the new fall season, looks like there are going to be some good new shows starting.

Books:

Dean Koontz...really anything that I can lose myself in. If a book can keep me from sleeping because it is just "that good" then its a keeper!

Heroes:

a few, they know who they are.
