I love all things Ireland. Rich, beautiful land with a deeply rooted history. Someday I'll walk the hills there and marvel at the sea, breathe in the heather and moss and know, really know, how it feels to be in a place I'm meant to be. I feel that way in Yosemite already. -----I love Winnie the Pooh and laughing on the teacup ride at Disneyland. I love the X-files, and Walker Texas Ranger and I'm not afraid to say so. -----I love the ocean, the mountains, the rivers and the forest. I love standing outside when it's snowing and feeling the snow fall around me and being thankful for it. I love curling up with a book and my dog Finn on a rainy and thunder filled night. ----I love driving to Arizona to see my Mom -just Finn and me in the car in our own world. Listening to whatever I feel like or just spending time in comfortable silence. ---I love being in the company of my family and good friends. No judgements or critisism, just being me and that being ok.

On an academic, spiritual and social level, I am engaged in learning to form a better understanding of some of what’s going on in Africa with the rampant health crisis and poverty there, as well as poverty here in America. I am also a member of A Soldier's Wish List that sponsors soldiers in such places as Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany and South Korea. We send letters, care packages and items such as hygiene (soap, hair products, razors, foot powder, etc.) new boots, socks, snacks, packaged meals, powdered Gatorade, condiments, DVD's, CD's, etc. Their site is http://www.asoldierswishlist.org/.
