About Me

I am an English teacher and I live in a small town, called Metz in France. My greatest passion in life is running. I run half marathons and I run as often as I can. I also love walking and riding my bike, I love sport, being outside. Then there is music, not a day goes by without listening to music, I can spend a whole afternoon listening to music, I close my eyes and I let my mind wander. Voices touch me deeply... and deep dark base lines... I adore Pearl Jam, every album, every song, they are the best! Eddie Vedder has the most beautiful voice ever, I admire him tremendously!!!! And they have a message, their lyrics are meaningful and intelligent. I love all the music from the end of the 1960s beginning of the 1970s. I'm a great fan of Janis Joplin, the Doors, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Who, Fleetwood Mac... I am also into dark stuff, with intense lyrics, music that takes you away into far away dimensions, with ghosts and nightmares. Tool does that the best... The song 10,000 Days, waow, you can do such an amazing trip in your head listening to that song, with the thunder and all... Finally I love jazz: Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Julie London, Billie Holiday... Ella's voice, hum... it also takes me out of my body... And I am very interested in Buddhism, I believe in the power of minds and souls, concepts like karma and reincarnation really fascinate me... fate and destiny puzzle me, is it all already written down? Have we all already met?

My Interests

sport, music, writing (short stories, poems, lyrics...), dance, meaningful long conversations, Feng Shui, living life and learning, thinking...

I'd like to meet:

Eddie Vedder of course! And all the cool people who put music in the center of their lives. I write lyrics for bands in my hometown and I'm keen on meeting new musicians and working with them on songs!

Music:

Pearl Jam, Jazz as I wrote above, rock and roll from the end of the 1960s beginning of the 1970s, music that was played at the big hippies' festivals like Woodstock, the Isle of Wight, Monterey... etc For more recent stuff I like Tool, Nirvana, POD, Rage Against the Machine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, for "softer stuff" I enjoy Sinead O'Connor, K's Choice, The Sundays, Everything but the Girl, Alanis Morissette, accoustic stuff, talented ladies with a guitar... My three most favorite songs are Landslide (Fleetwood Mack), Wild Horses (the Sundays) and Going to California (Led Zeppelin). They make me cry each time I listen to them! Music often makes me cry...

Movies:

my two favorite movies are the Matrix and Pulp Fiction... my favorite actor is Keanu Reeves, he's the best!!! And he is the most gorgeous man alive!!! I also love Life as a House, Closer, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons, Kill Bill...

Television:

I don't watch TV very often... but I like shows like Desperate Housewives, Alias, Ally McBeal or Friends.

Books:

books about Buddhism, religions, darkness, spirituality, anything that would make me think...

Heroes:

the Lord Buddha of course... and my grand dad... he is dead now but I can still feel the connection between our two souls, I can often feel his presence like he is guiding me and keeping an eye on me to protect me. I still miss him tremendously to this very day...
