About Me

Firstly, we want you to know that this is not actully maintained by "The Coffee Tavern" but by a regular customer. However "The Coffee Tavern" are aware of it and are thrilled-any comments will be passed on."The Coffee Tavern" was set up in 1604 by Humphery Jam.After having a difficult childhood due to years of bullying over his name being that of a much loved conserve, he decided to run away to Northamptonshire's historical market town of Oundle and set up a tea shop. The tea shop began to grow in popularity and soon, Mr. Jam recieved a phone call from a man named Mr. Starbucks. Mr. Starbucks was trying to set up a chain of coffee shops in Amercia and asked Mr. Jam if he would be inerested in becoming partners due to his renowned expereince. However, Mr. Jam decided that he did not want to become involved in any lesser kind of Coffee Shop so he stayed true to his roots and continued providing the good people of Oundle with the tea, coffee and hot and cold snacks they needed. When Mr. Jam was killed in a trajic grape throwing incident, the business was passed down to his son and so on and so forth untill the present day. "The Coffee Tavern" is now a thriving enterprise providing coffee to such coffee shops as "Central Perk" in the much loved American sit-com, "Friends.""The Coffee Tavern" is an ancient two story buliding with a huge heratidge. Unknown to many, Winston Churchill was actually born in the The Coffee Tavern's spacious and air conditioned lavatory. So if you are ever passing through oundle just off the A1, approximately 45 minutes from Cambridge and an hour an a half from London, do pop in and enjoy one of their delicious chocolate brownies, a cup of tea or a bowl of cheesy chips. Whatever you want-they will do it. (subject to demands, please see terms and conditions to apply.) MyGen Profile Generator
