Even though it's not fall it's time for a new leaf to turn...

About Me

I was born and raised in one of the most liberal cities in the world (Berkeley, California). I am one of the few caucasian people who can claim that I was a minority on both my high school and college campuses (UC Irvine is the only college campus in the United States where Asians are the majority of the population). I was transplanted to Southern California in 1999 and have found it to be a completely different place then Northern California. I never realized that there would be words that I could utter that would make people in Southern Calfornia immediately know that I was not a local. Maybe those people who thought that California should actually be two different states were onto something. Although I consider Northern California my true home, I enjoy living in Southern California and can see myself staying here for a long time.I've been told that I am a walking pop culture encyclopedia, a title I have eagerly accepted. If you need someone to be your lifeline for "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" I'm your man. If you want some advice on growing your own vegetable garden from your porch, that's me. Ever wanted to know how to cook Swedish Meatballs from scratch instead of buying them in a bag from Ikea, I know how to do that.I'm a firm believer that a day you don't learn something new is a day wasted. I am constantly trying to fill my head with more knowledge, should that be reading biographies of people I adore, or watching the History Channel on a weeknight for hours. I've found that the more I learn, the more I want to know...

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who still read the newspaper on their kitchen tables instead of their computer screens. I'd love to meet someone who knows the title of the one hit Kajagoogoo had in the 80s. I'm also interested in meeting people who have two different color eyes, or who can claim they have more random tattoos then me. Maybe there is someone who has two different colored eyes AND more random tattoos then me, wouldn't that be wild? Come on people, find me!

Going fishing for... birds?!?

So yesterday I went out on a deep sea fishing boat. I didn't really do that well. Caught a few bass, and a few mackeral. But the funniest part of the trip was that I caught a bird. Yes a bird. The bai...
