Even in the grueling and highly competitive hip hop scene in the south, IzReal has emerged as a prominent lyricist that prides himself on the authenticity and honesty of both the content and the sound of his music. Though from the South, he transcends the stigma that hovers above most southern emcees as being highly entertaining performers, but incapable lyricists. His poetic style and intricate delivery makes listening to his music a pleasure and an experience! IzReal categorizes himself as a multi-dimensional artist because he possesses the ability to appeal to more than one target audience. Most artist fail in their attempt to foster mainstream support because of an inability to connect artistically with more than one segment of the population. IzReal challenges the listening audience to be free, observant, informed, as well as playful, honest, and emotional. To him, music helps to guide the emotions of the listener to the artists destination of choice. Few artists possess the depth and dimension found in the musical genius that is IzReal. When asked to define his mission he has this to say. My musical mission is to provide an introspective, insightful, and yet intensely entertaining experience of the soul. Music is the melody of the moment and the rhythm of reality; therefore I have made it my responsibility to define the human experience by transforming life into artistic expression. This is why we have introduced Soul Hop as the truest definition of what it is we are giving the people. For IzReal, hip hop is more than a musical genre; it is a tool to communicate a message, a message that he takes seriously. Creating albums is not my primary purpose for being here. Hip hop is a means to an end. I believe I have been fashioned for leadership. Hip hop is going to position me to lead, pioneer, and steer the direction of the culture and consequently those under the influence of that same cultureMusic is influence and influence is power.
