My life is being with my best friend and husband, the funniest and sharpest man on the planet. We live, work, and make music together; he plays the drums and guitar while I sing and (try to) play the keyboard and banjo. Rob and I can spend every waking minute together, and for the most part, do. We occasionally play local gigs with our friends, collectively known as the Small Pox Mountain Boys. It's a dream to get paid to do what I love, but I can't quit my day job. It pays the rent and feeds the cats. (And you will never meet bigger "cat people" than Rob and me.)
Raised to appreciate music, I love good ol' rock and roll--but my heart is with jazz--and most recently, I've an affinity for country. I'm blessed to have a family whose blood runs with the same passion for the arts. I'm an old soul and often told that I'm "too young to know" a lot of things. Materialistic things that make me happy are shoes, sushi, and steak.. not in that order. I still don't know how to get myself to practice my banjo. My passion for writing and grammar is a point of pride. I'll correct your speech and I'm an asshole. But I like cats with bad grammar . I'd like to say I'm tomboy-ish, confident and adroit, which consequentially makes me girly, apathetic and just wrong. But I can tell the difference between chorus, tremelo, phaser, and flanger. Anyway, I can honestly say I'm truly happy and love my life... cheeeese.
