Here I am hoping to chronicle the creation of my very own legion of fae, elves, brownies, mermaids and whatever other mystical creatures decide to visit my dreams and beg to be born.My interest in OOAK polymer art was sparked while browsing Ebay one night, looking for fairies. Just fairies, not sure what I was looking for, maybe a new pair of earrings, or something cute. What I found was an artistic world populated by creations that both facinated and inspired me. I have always delved and dabbed in art, in a vast myriad of forms, without benefit of formal schooling (though not from lack of offers or efforts on my parents part - mainly lack of discipline.) and while I have not had a great amount of experience in sculpting, I did know my way around a ball of clay. But this..this was different. Here there be fairies and dragons and mermaids and elves and all kinds of enchanted beings - all unique, all different. And so I became immersed in this hobby/art form, and am now at a point where I am ready to display some of the product of this facination, in the hopes that my little creatures may take their place amoung those out there that still facinate, enchant and delight me during my twice weekly browse through OOAK fairy on Ebay.I am now offering my works on Ebay under the DreamedbyArlene banner! You can view my auctions by searching title and descriptions for DreamedByArlene - keep an eye out for bullitens with auction ID numbers, too! Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me and taught me and continues to do so. Thanks to the Art Doll Sculpture Group for their near infinite collective wisdom and support and the the Society of Eclectic Hallow Artists for their inspiration and support. Also to the CDHM group for their dedication to the art of the minature. Much love to all!
