About Me

I'm one of eight kids and my dad's a pastor. I grew up singing in church and school but I started playing guitar my senior year of highschool because I wasn't good enough to be in my brother and sister's band "Stephen Did". Even thought I could only play on one string I started writing right away and my brother and I wrote a song, "Pretty Ugly," that has since been played all over the world...Croatia, China, Germany, and post Katrina New Orleans to name a few places. At college I wrote more songs as I grappled with my faith. I played for my friends and at coffee houses and open mics. After college I wanted to continue making music that expressed my experiences with the most-high so interned with Keynote (keynotefuel.org), the music ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, and loved is so much I joined staff with them. The last band I was in was "Piper Down" where I met and married my wife Laura. We got hitched in July '06 and came off the road in November '06. Now we are trying to discover what it means to make music together.
