Al Fougy hails from Boston. One of the innovators in the local scene that brought the first Techno and Drum and Bass parties. An individual that is known for his hard work ethic. In general in the US Scene was one of the few promoters that aggressively pushed Drum and Bass to be exposed. Started with literally 6 people in '95. We had our resident djs:Overload,Casper,Timestretch and Jason Mouse. Blossoming to 900 regulars in '98 at the successful "Sessionz" with co-promoter Roger Forbes. Guests included DJ Rap, Grooverider and Fabio, Photek, DJ Trace, LTJ Bukem,DJ Suv, Roni Size and Reprazent,Goldie, Yearly Favorite Doc Scott and MC Justyc,Bryan Gee, John B., DJ SS and Warren G., Peshay,Andy C., etc.. etc... In '99 started Phuturistic Bluez Recordings. Changing locations to New York City in 2002 he continued the promotion in Soulful sounds with "Sense of Groove" with DJ Takeya. Focusing on Soulful/Rhytmic Drum and Bass. Roster included Blue Sonix, Physics + Kaleb, Greg Packer, DJ Andy and Drumagick. With the last single "Wonderful Day" in 2004 marked the end of the last of singles of of the New York Based Imprint. He currently resides in Philadelphia as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker. His current hobbies is listening to all forms of soul music, lifting weights, drinking gallons of water and trying to look beautiful. Life is Grand!!!!
