Poison Turantula was born and raised on the mean streets of Washington DC. They had no choice but to adapt to their surroundings, which was plagued with violence. While growing up in this environment they started free styling and rapping in ciphers destroying their preys (MCs). Their rhyming skills are no different from the sting of a poisonous spider. Poison Turnatulas skill and flow can kill any other Mcs rhyming skill by letting them endanger themselves by falling in the sticky web traps that this rap duo sets up by letting the discouraged opponent rap first. PT would then feed off of each other bearing their souls screaming on the rappers who dare to oppose them. They started taking this form of art more serious. They started writing and going in the studio. They did shows any and everywhere for exposure. They have been extras in movies and were even featured on a Hip-Hop segment on ABC News with David Coppell.Poison Turantulas style and image are based on what theyve been through. They rap about their struggles, humiliations, stress, pain, survival, afflictions, street life, hustling and spiritual torment. They have been rapping for 8 years, but didnt pursue it as a career until they met with an up and coming rapper and actor turned superstar DMX in 1997. He was residing in Glearden, MD at the time trying to stay out of trouble. He met with Poison Turantula and said he wanted to hear them rap. He told them that he didnt feel they were as advanced in the format of writing and flowing on the beat but they had Great Potential. He was the first person that took PT to Def Jam. Soon after PT continued setting up meetings themselves at different labels to get signed.Poison Turantual's goals are all about expressing what they have seen and been through in their music. Expressing it to the people who are still living and surviving in the streets and ghettos that most of us are trying to escape from, whether its by their venomous flows or energetic stage presence. When you listen or see them you are going to believe in them as people believed in 2 PAC. The goals for Poison Turantula is setting their mark, biting through these industry doors with their fangs and giving fear to these fake rappers not only destroying this Music Industry but also ruining HIP HOP by giving them something which is caused by a phobia that is: ARACHNOPHOBIA
