About Me

I started playing guitar when I was 17. In fact, I didn't even listen to music until I was 16. Late bloomer I guess. But when I did, I became obsessed to make to up for the lost time. I started off learning Metallica songs, as everyone pretty much does in the beginning. Later I ventured into acoustic rennaisance music and composed instrumental songs in that nature. Bouncing back to metal, but bored with the same old 80's thrash I began with, I seeked out music that had more depth. Upon discovering Dream Theater, that opened up new influential doors for me. I got into more virtuoso guitar player like John Petrucci, Rusty Cooley, Micheal Romeo, Steve Vai,Michealangelo...etc. After growing up in Florida, I moved to Houston where I later took lessons with Rusty Cooley for 2 years, building up my chops and technique.I am now a guitarplayer in Houston progressive metal band, Eden's Twilight, www.myspace.com/edenstwilight Since joining them, my song writing abilities have soared through working and co-writing with excellent musicians such as Marco Bayarena and Wade Vandesande. This page is dedicated to the music that I wrote prior to Eden's Twilight, and some day perhaps I will find the time to write some solo music again.
