About Me

On a fateful morning in the fall of 1999 Eric Bervig sat down in the grass underneath a small oak tree outside a dormitory in Bemidji Minnesota and began playing a new song on his guitar. Drawn by the winsome melodies and catchy lyrics Joshua Herbert ran into his dorm room, grabbed his violin, and joined the song writer on the lawn for an impromptu concert for the new students moving into the dorms. This was their first concert. Since then, they have been sharing their unique blend of proggressive-blues and jazz-folk music in various groups and for various audiences. After a lengthy hiatus Eric and Josh have reunited to form the band e.j.asher. Eric's songwriting abilities plumb an extraordinary depth while still connecting with nearly everyone who hears them, and his unique and highly skilled guitar playing is well... unique. Josh's vocals are both poignant and lively, and his lead-violin stylings add another voice to the group. Together they are pushing blues, pop, and jazz music into new territory. e.j.asher recently recorded their debut 10 song LP at Late Night Studio in Duluth MN. NOW THE ALBUM IS AVAILABLE ON iTUNES!
