I love watching whatever activities my boys' are involved in. For my oldest, it is soccer (year round) and my youngest plays baseball and flag football and is also involved in musicals.
Don't laugh....this Farrell girl has converted to Country. But, in its defense, it is the one style of music that actually says something, is fun to sing and I don't have to worry to much about the lyrics with the boys in the car. I am sure they have heard the worst of the worst, but they are still my little boys and I would like to think that they don't have a clue, eventhough I know better.
Regular television sucks. If there is nothing better to do, I usually put on Fox News or just listen to music.
I have recently read two VERY good books; cover-to-cover in one night each. The first book was Tuesdays with Morrie and the other was The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Both by Mitch Albom.
I have a few. My grandfather was an amazing man with an incredible sense of humor. There are times I look into my oldest son's eyes and swear he is still here with me. My mom; she was a single mother who managed to work and go to school, eventually becoming a doctor, with no help from my sperm donor. And then there is my stepfather. It was my mission in life to see how much he would put up with before totally losing his cool. He is my biggest hero. He took on an instant family when he met my mother. He worked in a mill and helped to put her through medical school, he tolerated me (which, during my teenage years, was a REAL challenge) and for that he deserves a medal. He has been an amazing "father" to me and an OUTSTANDING grandfather to my boys.
