About Me
Just to clarify, The Wild Breed Boys have thrown in the towel after nearly 5 years of kick ass bluegrass twice as fast as yer ass, but feel free to enjoy the music and history of The Wild Breed Boys here on this page!
The Wild Breed Boys were born on a hoary night when men struggled to keep their fires lit and their cabins warm. At first there were only three, Brett Parsons, Chris Bingman and Dustin Moore (who has since retired from the fold). They started a-pickin' and a-drinkin' on Brett's mom's front porch when a stranger came up and started pickin too. Well, it turned out to be Casey Cook and he's been pluckin at the git-box with The Boys ever since. Then on the Fourth of July of the year 2004, Justin Farrell, long-time friend of Casey's was invited to come out and pick some bass with The Boys. Ever since that Fourth of July, Wild Breed Boys everywhere celebrate the true birth of the biggest monumental bluegrass movement of the 21st century - its true, the earth quaked open, the skies began to fall, and God said, "let there be The Wild Breed Boys" - or so the story goes... The Boys went on with the 4 man line-up for awhile, and then one fateful night Justin and Chris, while pounding beers in a dive bar in Fairborn, ran into fiddlin' Clark Huckaby. Clark picked with The Boys for awhile, introduced them to western swing and jived up the bluegrass, but then he mysteriously disappeared and some say he went on a murderous killing spree across the Western Plains. But almost instantly the fiddlin' position was filled by the very capable shoes of Kristen "K-Roc" McNabb who has been fiddlin' with The Boys ever since. And to keep the name Boys, Kristen had to undergo some "changes," but we're told everything's fine now.
Well shucks, listen to me ramble, why don't you just read what our fans have to say about us!
"The Wild Breed Boys are a group of rough & rowdy mountain men currently on the lam out of Clark County, OH. When they're not runnin' from the law they're pickin that good ol' timey traditional bluegrass and you can usually catch 'em drinkin some kind of clear liquid out of a mason jar, no one's quite sure what it is... Seeing these boys is a show in and of itself, and just you wait til you hear 'em pick! Bring out yer dancing shoes and overalls if'n you're seein The Wild Breed Boys, you'll be in for the long haul! You can see these boys a-pickin' and a-grinnin' and a-drinkin' at any respectable dive bar in Ohio, West (By God) Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and any place else hillbillies are found!" - Athens Musician Network
"You ain't shit!" - Boone patron
"You know, I don't even like bluegrass, but I love watchin you fellers" - the vast majority of our audience
