**********************************************************I'
m a performance artist with a desire to push limits, and break conventional blocks. I've been called a "gothic bellydancer" by those that have never seen my more traditional performances, but there's more to my work then many of you know.My true love is classical Egyptian dance, believe it or not, and I've been studying it in one form or another for about 5 years, and will probably continue to do so for the rest of my life.My other love is my rock roots and the resurrection of a fallen vaudville art...Explains a lot, doesn't it ;)I am a student of life, as such I'm always learning. And there's something I tell my students that I will share with you as well :A shimmy is an expression of your complete freedom in yourself. It is letting go, safely, and still feeling in control of your body. Its like an earthquake of the soul, rising through the floor and exploding out from your hips. If you're nervous or uptight it won't happen...but if you just breathe and let go of yourself, your insecurities, your 401K, it happends. Its a powerful feeling... but my question is this: If you're shimmying in your box of rules and limitations, when does that freedom take you?I am a student of art, and have a love and respect for all dancers who use their own art in their dance. There are many beautiful women (and a couple men) who have influenced and inspired me greatly. I thank everybody that has shared of themselves without greed or selfishness, and continue to do so in their teaching and work... you are truly the enlightened ones!Blessed be!
My son, we breed em young here. Musician + Artist + ?
