About Me

***A NOTE FOR THE CONFUSED*** - Until a few months ago, I went by the name Sarah Gillespie, as most of you will know. The reason for the sudden change is that there is another songwriter by the name of Sarah Gillespie about, who recently played at the Wickerman festival. And she is a little bit bigger than I am. Oops. However you will see the name "Sarah Gillespie" popping up on much of my associated media still, until people get used to it and until I get round to changing them. So many of the CD artworks on here still have my old name on them. Sorry about that...
"Sarah and her band sound tighter than Russell Brand's trousers!"
"Sarah [Coloso] is a name spreading faster than a fire in a match factory... she commands attention, belting out instant classics with a husky and tuneful vocal sound."
- The Magdalen
THERE ARE CHANGES GOING ON IN THE COLOSO CAMP...
Like Dylan... I am going electric.
(Well perhaps not quite in that league, but you get the picture)
Armed with a shexy Schecter, a new lease of life and more pedals than you can count on two hands, expect 2009 to be a little funkier.
Also I have (perhaps somewhat unwisely) entrusted the other two members of the band with my MySpace login details. If any attractive blondes get messages from "me" written in a flirtatious manner... blame my bassist.
Anyway...
TUNES!! LISTEN!! NOW!!!!!!
Thankyou. Spread the word.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.bebo.com/sarah-coloso
Band Members: Sarah Jane Coloso Gillespie writes songs and plays guitar and piano. She sings a bit too.

Other members of the Sarah Coloso band:

Harry "The Funk" Sheddon plays bass, crazy-dances, and drinks enough alcohol to fill a swimming pool.

Andy "You wot?!" Gavine thinks he's black, plays drums with his head and has a disturbing fascination with snails and chickens.

Eoin "YEEEEEEE0W!!" Boylan plays guitar, is more black than Andy, and destroys tuners.

Dan "The Skunk" Hughes keeps me sane, makes cups of tea (the former is probably most due to the latter) and plays drums on all the AOTW recordings.

Influences: The particularly pretentious, arrogant, or brilliant man. Disillusionment. Copious amounts of caffeine. The fantastic other Dundee-based bands that surround me. Poetry.

I recommend The Writer's Block by Jason Rekulak. It is, quite literally, a big block of inspiration. If that doesn't get the gears going... well, it also makes a wonderful doorstop.
Sounds Like: Genre confusion!

NOTE: That's genre, not gender.
Type of Label: Unsigned
