New album available on NOW! Check www.zestysmilerecords.com for news!
Hello People! I'm a guitarist and songwriter currently living, performing, working in the Southern California area. I also perform and collaborate with a number of groups and solo artists, and continue to write and record as a solo artist.
Some of you may know me from my days on the East Coast where I've had the pleasure to play and write with a number of excellent bands and artists since the early 90's. These include the progressive pop band MADISON, who released two acclaimed albums with significant airplay, and the hard rock outfit EXIT24, also with two successful indie label releases.
I can be found as a member of The Popravinas, and also playing guitar and mandolin for the Sarah Stanley Band. I have over 20 years of cross genre experience performing and composing modern music.
Please feel free to email me at [email protected]

My Interests

Music:

Influences: Before we get to the influences, how about some good press!
"The star of the album is really Geno K's guitar work...Though John Adair takes over lead guitar duties on a trio of songs [and even steals the show for a moment or two]......Rockmusicreview.com, "The Human Geno Project," Geno K.
Lava Lounge/Replacements tribute show. "Went with 4 of my freinds to see our other friends band. They were okay, but the real headliners and easily the best band was the Popravinas. They blew all others away. There own song rocked. It was like watching a bunch of real pros compared to the other bands. Crowd loved them....." Popravinas Fan review, Worldofgigs.com
"Good band after having to wade through an assault of bad metal and meagre punk by opening acts. Total Replacements vibe, but I think the musicanship is better...at least the drums and guitars. Should be playing bigger rooms. A fun group on stage. Refreshing...." Popravinas Fan review, Worldofgigs.com
"This CD is proof that Lite has the goods...One song, Shades of Gray, varies from the pack with its distinct usage of electric guitar..." Indie-music.com review, Charlene Lite, "8 Shades"
Although my writing influences vary, I'm a guitarist first, and here are some of my significant guitar influences:
David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Paul Simon, Keith Richards, Rich Robinson, Dave Davies, EVH, Pete Townsend, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh, Mike Campbell, Billy Duffy, Frank Zappa, George Harrison, Alex Lifeson, Tommy Tedesco, Carl Wilson, Craig Ross, Eddie Angel, Marc Ford, anyone that played on a Steely Dan album, Dean Ween.
Sounds Like: Matthew Sweet, Foo Fighters, The Cult, Wilco, The Wallflowers, you tell me!
Record Label: Zesty Smile Records
Type of Label: Indie
