Frostbit was founded in September 2005 when two friends, Martin and Johannus, decided to start a rockband. Martin played the electric guitar and Johannus the drums. Now they needed a bassist. They knew that one of their friends had a bass-guitar all though he couldn´t play it. They wanted him in the band and convinced him that he would learn how to play it as the time went by. And they were right - Tommi, the bassist had the talent. This guy, Eirik, practiced with his band, Spy-leg, in the same place as Frostbit. One day Eirik came by place to pick up his guitar and Martin asked him to jam with them. They did so well together that Eirik was invited to join the band and he became the 4th member of Frostbit. The band was now almost completed . They just needed a singer. They began searching for a singer with the "right" voice for their music-style. They git in touch with this girl called Carla and they immediately agreed that this was their singer. She agreed to become Frostbit´s singer in June 2004.
A few months before Frostbit participated in a music competition called Prix Føroyar in February 2005, Martin dropped out of the band and the new guitarist became Arnfinn. Frostbit didn´t make it to the final but had the opportunity to present their music on a national level. In November 2005 Frostbit participated in a international music competition called GBOB where they reached in to the semi-final with five other bands. The final was held in London, England.
The year 2006 was a very turbulent year for Frostbit. Several breaks were in the band and two members, the bassist, Tommi and the guitarist, Arnfinn dropped out and another two joined the band. They were Samal, bass-guitar and Jan, electric-guitar. Frostbit got a fresh start to do what they like the best, to play music.
The members of Frostbit hope that the year 2007 is going to be a good and positive year for them with opportunity to bring their music out to people. At the moment they are working with some new stuff and searching for "it!".
