About Me

Back in the late '50s, early '60s, Mama Elderly had a sorta bad smack habit. She was living in Memphis and hookin' to make ends meet, so she don't 'member much about my daddy. Only thing she 'members is that daddy, well, didn't bother to take off his pants whenever they got busy. Whenever he left, he just said "Thank you, thank you very much". Said he was a singer of some kind. In his honor, she named me Pants.

Influences: Vast and varied.

Start with Jason and the Nashville Scorchers, The Gun Club and The Cramps.

Add their influences like Hank Sr., Jimmie Rodgers, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Robert Gordon, Hasil Atkins and Link Wray.

Then add all the bands they influenced. Bands like Uncle Tupelo and The Jayhawks.

Throw in a little punk like early Replacements, add a dash of The Blasters and X and you'd have the music I'd love to make.

But I'm not that good... so I do what I can.

Oh yeah, and Elvis.
