With the upcoming release Godlife, Repulse, hailing from Woerden, Netherlands, fixated the attention on this new deathcore-quartet. Incarnated in mid-2007 from the respected metalcore band Defcon , main band members Alarik and Robert decided to continue their musical journey with the addition of Paul and Andreas. Defcon shared the stage already with Born From Pain, 37 Stabwoundz and more bands and recorded two demos. With a new musical direction and new band members the guys decided to go further under the name Repulse.Repulse influences reach from brutal Death Metal to bone crushing beatdown, yet never forgetting melodies. All these influences create a powerful new sound with brutal blasting parts, melodic riffing, brain-bashing moshparts and shredding guitarsolo’s. The band played shows together with Instil, Dark Remains, Crimson Falls, Resistance and more respected and well known bands hailing from the Dutch and Belgium underground metal- and hardcorescene.
In the beginning 2008 Repulse decided to quit the band. Two members (Alarik en Paul) started an new hardcore band; Better Left Buried. Check the new shit out on: www.myspace.com/betterleftburied
