About Me

Surrender The sorrowS

STS was formed on summer of 2005 by Jay Backus and Derric Morris (Lost Hope) including Corey Roach, Anthony Backus & Josh Nelson in Enid, OK. The band performed early in 2006 at small bars imposing a very unique metal sound and released a self-title demo. On fall of 2006, Corey left the band and quickly replaced with Ricardo Montoya. Later Anthony left as well and was replaced with Ian Pospisil (Self Inflicted, Picture Perfect Homocide). With this new line-up Surrender The Sorrows has been developing a heavier, faster sound. After some performances in Enid and Oklahoma City the band has had a growth in crowds and in good reviews. Right now, STS is recording and producing their upcoming EP 'There are None to Mourn'. This is very exciting times for the band and there's more to come...
