THE NUKL HEDZ are a San Diego based mc and production duo with a seven-year track record collecting receipts for dues paid along the way. Fresh off their performance with Slick Rick at The House of Blues San Diego, the boys have been steamrolling momentum and expanding their fan base all summer long throughout the So-Cal area. Now teamed up with SRH Clothing and Dragon Optical, The Nukl Hedz are on the edge of breaking the industry mold with their homegrown style of hip-hop. The upcoming album which is scheduled to be released before the New Year, is a culmination of their career, combining both classic style hip hop as well as hard hitting club thumpers. While the topics stay centered around their checkered pasts, The Nukl Hedz can switch tempo and moods easily bringing witty humor to the table with songs like “Candy†and “Always Smokin,†and still serve up street classics like “Up in the Dope House†and “Hustlin.†Their music has been best described as a combination of The Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill and Mobb Deep.Performing in clubs before they were old enough to drink in them, The Nukl Hedz possess a polished stage presence and have shared stages with industry legends such as The Ghostface Killah, Killah Priest (both of Wu-Tang Clan) Shock G (Digital Underground) and Slick Rick The Ruler. They have lit roofs on fire in San Diego’s premiere clubs and stormed through Cali’s hottest college towns.The Nukl Hedz are now combining the networks they’ve established through the music, sports and clothing industries to create a positive movement that represents southern California culture. This is a homegrown San Diego movement comprised of the struggles of only two individuals.
