MULLIGAN

Based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Jesse Kemp, aka DJ Mulligan, has been pumping up dance floors from behind the decks for almost 2 years now. Don’t let this seeming lack of experience fool you, Mulligan’s skill and enthusiasm has quickly earned him a reputation for his energy and funky upbeat style. Spinning a mix of vinyl and cd, Mulligan’s choice of music ranges from funky vocal house and popular remixes, to jammin 2-step and slammin speed garage. Mulligan’s taste in music has had influences from well known dj’s such as Mark Farina, Artful Dodger, Basement Jaxx and perhaps more importantly local dj’s like Sonny D, Funkdub and Dale Manette. Mulligan’s music reflects his easy going, fun personality and flair routinely rocks the dance floor. Over the past 18 months Mulligan has held a residency in Fredericton’s Afterdark Night Club, co-hosted open turntables at Boom Nightclub and has played over 100 shows throughout the Maritimes. Mulligan has played along side some of the Maritimes best Dj’s including: Dale Manette (Halifax),Sonny D (Halifax), Relik (St. John), Cyn L (Moncton), Marc Leblanc (Toronto), Nexus6ix (St. John), Steve The Viking, Skog, Sean, Flynn, Loki, Locomotive (Fredericton) Currently Mulligan holds a residency at Fusion Afterhours in Fredericton every third Friday, also he is releasing 3 new mixed sets simultaneously from three different Genres: “It’s Electric”- Funky House, “Rock For Rollers” – Rocking House, and “Hollywood” – Speed Garage. Mulligan will be touring the Maritimes this spring alongside Sinister Sounds producer Cyn L with stops in Halifax, Moncton, St John & Fredericton, as well as his home town of Berwick, Nova Scotia. Mulligan’s affiliations include: Gravy Train & Ultrasound Productions from Fredericton, as well as Sinister Sounds and Paramount Lounge of Moncton.
