I would sit in my room with a local friendly bass player named Raza and jam till the cows came home. This gave us the opportunity to record a few tracks and play a few gigs (with a session drummer). These gigs were never anything special. We participated in talent shows and similar events for a couple of months.
After that it kind of died down. I started writing and recording my own songs with FL Studio and this ended up with me releasing my own solo career.
I produced a CD called 'How’s About I Sit on Your Face? Feat Mr T' and released it in local shops. This album was influenced mainly by metal and industrial bands and overall was incredibly experimental. This became well known to quite a few people in the Lisburn area.
A couple of months later Raza and I got back into my room and started riffing away like good old times. We practiced our old songs as well as my new ones.
We decided to take on new members through auditions and form the band 'DESOLATE'. We advertised all over the internet and found members Nurse and The Rach. We also took on a keyboardist and singer but due to musical differences we had to let them go. Because of this we can’t keep true to the industrial ideas we originally had anymore and our music at the minute remains instrumental.
Our music is now a mixture between material on my CD and material that we just randomly put together. This music sounds... odd but very heavy and often catchy and we only started applying for gigs recently. We are a heard of but completely unheard band with great potential and determination.
I am not ready to lose with yet another project - we have all been disheartened too many times.
So you will all see...
WE HAVE COME... AND WE WILL NOT GIVE UP.
All risks are worth it.
