Music:
I love all kinds of music...from hip hop to bluegrass. The best music is the music of my friends and family! I'm lucky to know so many talented people! My favorite artists are: Deep Blue Sun, Ralph Rodenberry, String Cheese Incident, Blueground Undergrass, Sublime, Acoustic Syndicate, and of course The Dead. I've noticed that there's one band that I've played throughout my many different music phases (metal, punk, ska, jam, hip-hop, so on and so on) and that is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. One of the first songs I remember absolutely loving is "Under the Bridge", and I still listen to it today. I also love hip hop....Nappy Roots, Outkast, Wu-Tang, Goodie Mob, that kinda good stuff.

Movies:
Flexibility
I guess, when gymnastics isn't impressive enough, you can fall back on your extreme flexibility as a performance art. Dazed & Confused is one of my all time favorites. Also, Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams and Up in Smoke are classics. I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy--just amazing what they did with those movies. I love old Disney movies...you know, the ones I grew up watching and can't find any more. I'm also a sucker for movies set during the King Aurthur/Camelot time. My favorite is "Mists of Avalon"--if you haven't seen this movie it is definetly a must! I think it's the best Camelot story ever! Also, Beyond Borders with Angelina Jolie is amazing....I think everyone should see this movie, it's eye opening, and very, very sad--but we need to see the sad things in life.... if we don't know the bad things happening in the world how can we change them? Hotel Rwanda is another one of those "everyone should see it" movies that will open your eyes and fill them with tears. It's painful to watch, but it really happened, we need to know these horrible things are happening around the world if we ever hope to stop them.

I love dramas! I love comedy! I HATE reality tv! The shows I watch include: Surface (awesome new show), Sopranos, Entourage, Big Love, Las Vegas, Medium, Lost, Desperate Housewives, ER, The OC (I know, but it's good), Law and Order, Monk, My Name is Earl, Sex and the City, Friends reruns, Crossing Jordan, Simpsons, South Park, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Deadwood, and the list goes on.

Books:
This could take awhile! I've been an avid reader my whole life! "The Mountain's Call" and "The Song of Unmaking" by Caitlin Brennan were amazing!!! My favorite authors are: Dean Koontz, James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell. "The Traveler" was a really good read, but I spaced the author's name. "Timeline" by Michael Crichton was amazing, the movie left out about half of the story (of course), so if you liked the movie, pick up the book. The Sphere was also very good. The Taking by Dean Koontz was the best and the scariest alien story I've ever read! Dean Koontz has an amazing mind! Lipstick Jungle was also a good read. I've always been a thriller/mystery kinda girl, but recently I've gotten into the Harlequin "LUNA" series...I know, I know, but this series isn't like the other Harlequin books. LUNA is a fantasy series, books filled with mages and centaurs, horse gods, witches and wizards, right and wrong, good and evil and the main characters always find true love in the end.

Heroes:
My best friend Tess...she's a beautiful, confident, determined woman! I've always looked up to her, and she was always there for me thru the hard times. My friend Crystal for raising the best child I've ever met...Crystal got pregnant at 16 and I was sure she had ruined her life...I was wrong! She's raised her daughter by herself and she did an amazing job! David's mother Hope for raising, loving and nuturing my soul mate--she did such a wonderful job! My father for doing what he loves...even if that means taking the less traveled road. Every single person out there that works to protect animals, I admire you!
