Sam Hare & Soul Junction

About Me

I am a 34 year old guitar player/singer/songwriter from London, England. I used to front the band Hucklebuck featuring Giles King on harmonica (The DVD - 'LAST TRAIN TO THE RUNNING HORSE featuring Matt Schofield' is available through me...just send me a message), but we called it a day in favour of me working on my more 'songy' stuff with a new line-up featuring my brother Fergus Hare on bass, Joe Glossop on the Hammond organ, and Mimi Hajime on drums - 'Soul Junction'. However, when the Huckle-boys occasionally find themselves in the same room together, we have a blast! I am confident a reunion gig will matieralise one day. I also run the popular blues jam at Ain't Nothin But the Blues Bar (20 Kingly St, W1) every monday night (See 'Monday Jam' at the top of my friends. I have played with many of Britains finest blues players, including (as well as Giles) Matt Schofield (including Matt's 30th birthday gig at The 100 Club), Ian Siegal, Buddy Whittington (John Mayall's Bluesbreakers), The Spikedrivers, Earl Green, Lee Sankey, Corrina Greyson, Roger Hubbard, The Cadillac Kings... And my fondest sitting in experience was with Bonnie Bramlett (of Delaney & Bonnie) a couple of years ago at Cargo. I co-wrote 'All you need' on Matt Schofield's 'Siftin thru ashes' album, and i have recently added writing/singing/playing contributions to Ian Siegal's latest album 'The Dust', available from www.nugenerecords.com - a 'Sam Hare & Soul Junction' album is on the cards, so watch this space...I am also a freelance photographer, doing mostly music promo work and album artwork (see my brand new 'Photo Portfolio' album in the pictures section)Brand new videos from Bestival 2008 with Ed Green on drums- 'Ridin thumb'- 'Are you sorry too?'- 'Fly with me again'- 'Her time of day'
