About Me

I'm a Michigander, born and raised. The little Motorola transistor radio, beside my bed in my bedroom on Westgate Street, wafted the sounds of Motown music into my soul, into my heart and down to my fingers. Those fingers found an Epiphone Sheriton tobacco sunburst guitar and Harmony tube amp combo that was given to my dad on Christmas. He was far too busy working to put any time into it. I found the combo and gave it a go. The guitar seemed to make sense right away, and I could make music with it. Must have been about 13. I continued to noodle with it through Jr. High and when the family moved to California in 1975 the pair came with, now being played a lot more often. My first songs were born and the fascination with writing and then recording my own songs not only grew, but later became my vocation.A job offer from Lier's Music store chain stopped my Cal State San Bernardino grade point average slide and introduced me to the wide world of musical gear. It also exposed me to a bunch of musicians, some of which have become life-long friends and bandmates. I'm originally from Farmington Hills Michigan, moved to Palm Springs, then San Bernardino...now in Redlands. I'm in my 3rd home studio, this latest one a very cool affair surrounded by trees and totally self contained. My work(and I love it) consists of studio recording, live sound engineering, songwriting, arranging, playing guitar bass or drumset, and performing live. In the last almost two years I've been the Chief Audio engineer at the Fender Center in Corona. I love the people I work with , the place and the different challenges it has presented. Married to beautiful Andrea who understands my kooky artist side and sense of humor. We're a great couple, I simply love coming home every night. I've got too many cars and a bunch of kitty cats. stay tuned for more...
