She won her first dance contest in West Berlin, Germany, where she was born and presently resides in California. Dwan has always had a love and ear for music, as she went on to become a musician, playing the piano and trombone with a B.A. Music under her belt. She grew up with a bass guitarist as her dad, who played in a band overseas before she was born. With her love for music, Dwan wrote and produced about 70+ projects to date, and continues to create more. She has been featured on several albums, has had some of her songs commercially done and released on distributed CD’s, and has produced several singles for various artists and community schools: Do Boy CD & DVD, Judy Johns, Clyde of Sacramento, Hersh and the Bay Area Mix Tape ‘06, Regulator G “The Portal”, H “Baby Eyes Like Mine”, Hilltop Records “America”, and Merryhill student recitals. In addition, she has a spread sheet in UBO Magazine for July 2007 for “Upcoming Artist”, with a personal interview with Aaris Schroeder, and has had on air radio interviews with Dr. Andy "Music Corner", and Flo Real "Spoken Word & R&B Show", where her music is currently in the top 20 rotation. Dwan has won several first place titles: 1st Black Expo Gospel Category 2006, 1st Online Idols March 2007, 1st place in various talent shows and nominations for NeoSoul Artist for BMA Awards, Sacramento 2005. She has fronted and sang with several bands: 2nd Level, Night Fever Band, Party Train Band, Maegee Band, etc. In addition, she has performed in various shows across California, Louisiana, and Texas.
