Mark Anthony Rogness was born in Indiana in 1979. He grew up in the United States and began singing at the age of 4 and playing guitar at the age of 12. He began his songwriting career when he was 13 years old, usually playing them for his Mother. As he grew older he began to socialize with blues and folk artists such as Annette Tayborne and Dr. Bones & The Skeletones feat. Arnold Langly and started playing out with them as well as himself. Mark then built up his fan base locally in Michigan as well as Illinois promoting and playing out as much as he could. In 1999 he recorded his first EP in Lansing, MI entitled Boycott Tate McBroom with heavy metal bass player Justin W. Pfau and Tate McBroom at Knight Studios. Many shows were done with Tate and Justin for promotion for the band Ubiquitos in correlation with bands including Cloud 9. As fans grew fond of the music, they became anxious for more material from the singer/songwriter, so with that Mark entered the studio for a second time to record the In Town Again EP. While observing the mixing of Sona Cofa's second cd, he was asked to play a couple songs. He did and it came out crisp and clear and very honest which was the In Town Again EP, thank God for Loop Hole Studios. A lot of shows were then played, without being paid in promotion for this record and to expand his fan base. A steak and a bar tab were just enough to lure him into playing a show, and even nowadays Mark is humble enough to keep taking that offer up alone to expose his talents. After living in Viginia playing some gigs out, Mark currently resides in Auburn, NY and is constant search of waterfalls and shows. He is very thankful for the talent and friends he has made here in NY and anyone who has taken him in and helped him show him the way around these parts. He currently plays all the shows he can, and even takes local musician's such as Ryan Coughlin back to the Michigan area with him to play. His current goals in his musical endeavors are to assist his siter in becoming a behind the scenes genious in the hip-hop or rock world. She has worked very hard at the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, CA. and deserves to kick the world in the balls with her knowledge and talent. He is also talking with people in Detroit, MI and have a great hip-hop/fusion drummer that will add to his creations, along with Justin W. Pfau, Ben Wright )a very eccentric bass player) and Ryan Coughlin, so a studio album will be coming soon. Deals are being talked of, we just want the right one...make
