There's more, but I left out the ones that are hard to spell.
Horror movies are my forte...
George Romero, David Cronenberg, and Larry Cohen are my Holy Trinity of directors. If you don't understand why Larry Cohen is on that list, watch "God Told Me To" and shut the fuck up.
I have somewhere around 2,000 movies in my personal collection.
I love 70's and 80's exploitation, slashers, kaiju films, gaillos, zombie flicks, cannibal flicks, bad action movies, sword and sorcerery films, spaghetti westerns, and Bruce Lee kung fu movies. Basically... name the sub-genre and I'm there.
But if you take any of the following and throw in a pogniant social commentary... I'll cherish the movie for the rest of my natural life...
The History Channel.
Richard Matheson, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Issac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Jack Ketchum, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Joe Bob Briggs, Joe R. Landsdale, Max Brooks, Karl Marx, H.P. Lovecraft, and Robert Frost, to name a few...
"I am Legend" and "The Incredible Shrinking Man" are two of the most amazing books I've ever read.
Jack Ketchum's short "Forever" is by far and away the most incredibly powerful work I've read in recent months.
Did I mention I'm also an avid comic book fan?
Jason Voorhees, George Carlin, Herbert West, Batman, and Godzilla: the King of All Monsters...
