About Me

I use my personal failures and victories as a means to give hope and offer a better way of life, through Christ, to those on the streets, in prisons and jails.   My wife, Joanne and I have joined with the Good News Jail & Prison Ministry to minister regularly to the men and women in the Henderson County Detention Center here in Henderson,KY, as well as the Vanderburgh County Detention in Evansville, IN. The Henderson jail houses a high percentage of State inmates that are sent here to serve their sentences.   We have been involved in prison ministry for the past seven years with the Christian Motorcyclists Association ministering throughout the prison system in Indiana. Along with this, we head up and facilitate a program in prisons, jails, homeless shelters, and addiction centers throughout the state of Indiana and Kentucky entitled  Freebird's Last Flight.   We also arrange and host various speakers, bands and singers from the entertainment industry into the prison systems to uplift and encourage the inmates.

"Freebird's Last Flight"  enables men and women to understand that they can change their lives and overcome their struggles and failures through the power of Jesus Christ.
"Freebird's Last Flight" has had the privilege to share the stories and lives of many people within the entertainment industry. The story of LYNYRD SKYNYRD and the message of hope and restoration from Johnny and Donnie Van Zant has been a huge encouragement to those serving time, as well as those facing struggles in life.
We have been into the various levels of prisons, meeting men and women who may be serving just a few years, along with those that are put away for life.   It is a great blessing to be a part of what God is doing in these inmates' lives.   My own life has been one of many ups and downs.   I can truly say that God has certainly worked out everything in my life for the good.   Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."  There you have it -- I am just a man saved by God's grace through Jesus Christ!
