been in ywam since 1986 since my parents hooked up with the ministry as king's kids leaders. so i been a part of the ywam thing for the past 20yrs. it's been good, i've learnt a lot about culture and ministry ... i am a kiwi by birth, a moari by nature. a bit about the background of where i grew up: mangere (and south auckland in general) is one of, if not the poorest socio-economic areas of auckland. everywhere you look, there are kids with no jackets or shoes in the middle of winter, kids trying to protect themselves and their siblings from being physically and sexually abused, severe poverty, teenage gangs killing their peers and people abusing and taking advantage of each other and being taken advantage of maori and pacific islanders. it is also the 2nd worst in the whole of auckland, so anything "ghetto" intrigues me.
if there is a bad place in town and people say to me that i shouldn't go there....i wanna go there! :o) it's in my nature...fo shizzle!
i'm a inter-cultural, inter-national, inter-denominational kinda guy. i love laughing and having a good time, but i also love having those deep moments in conversation. i love missions and travelling. i don't see myself living permanently in 1 country for the rest of my life. but then that's not in my control, that's pretty much in God's control. i can live anywhere, as long as it is where God is leading me.
i love people, i can get along with all kinds of people, old and young, from different backgrounds and up bringings, different cultures and colours. i'm an all round nice guy who wants to get to know ya and reveal the love of Jesus not in words but in action. i'm not a bible basher nor am i in to get converts, i just wanna be your friend. and hopefully one day introduce you to my very bestest friend Jesus Christ, who will never leave me&you nor forsake me&you, who will never sell me&you out and will always love me&you no matter what the situation. he's legit.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
