So Rich called up a few partners and Affiliated Records was born. But please don’t think this was an overnight success because it wasn’t. From 1998 until 2001 Rich moved and negotiated his way into many of the biggest offices in the game and finally scored nationwide distribution for his 1st release “Living My Lifeâ€. After a sour deal Rich went back to the lab and started building an impressive catalog with 3 of his artists to present to the next distributor that would be interested in his label.
Fortunately a few were biting it was only a matter of time. Now in 2006 with 2 releases under the company’s belt which have sold over 50,000 units and 3 more prepared for retail Rich has no choice but to be on top.
