About Me

Let's see... what do you really need to know...? Hmm, well, I am the youngest of four kids in my family. I studied Art in Jr. College. My dream career goal is to be an author, but I do art as an alternative creative outlet, and it's therapeutic. I think I'm compassionate. Most people think I'm a barker until I finally bite. Small children and animals usually like me, but it seems to take quite a while for humans to get to know me. I realize it sounds like I'm still a kid. Well, I think everyone has an age that they identify with, and I am perpetually 12. For as long as I live, I will still be in the 7th grade, madly in love with the guy who gave me my first kiss, and trying to figure out why other people are the way that they are. I sometimes doodle cartoons of stupid thoughts I have. I've taken a few classes just for fun in cooking, wine, art, and writing. I like movies that involve other cultures. I love Japanese films, from animation to live action, because they are so full of feeling. I also like cheesy horror movies, and I have a penchant for novels about vampires. I wish I had pink hair, and I often speak with a British accent or German Mad Scientist accent to amuse myself (but I usually wear clothes while shopping). I like cheese, flamingos, bunnies, and pirates.

Weekend Warrior

A week or two ago, I found the sugar bowl in the fridge.  That made me worry for a few seconds where I had put the milk.  I just now found the sugar bowl in the microwave.  It's one of ...

Beautiful Day

Went and hung out with a few co-workers last night. All I have to say is that I work with some INSANE people!  :-)  And found out that the world is smaller... they knew my friend, and their ...

The Cusp of Change

You know that anxious feeling you get when you think things are about to improve greatly?  Maybe you're shopping for a new house or car, or you just got invited for an interview for a new job... ...

Edited after I was distracted watching the House marathon: Just got back from marching competition.  They were judging very hard, and considering that we're on the third band director and the ban...

Point of View

Now and then it occurs to me how little people know me.  Which is quite odd considering how much I willingly bend their ears with just the slightest encouragement.  I think it's not so much ...

Zombie Mode

I am chilling this weekend to make up for two nights of sleep loss this past week.  I woke up at 3:30am one day and 1:30am the next.  I did sleep well Thursday, but last night I was awake af...

Somethings Always Wrong

No, I'm actually OK.  :) I just can't sleep, that's all, and there are two contributing factors at this time, with one being insanity... and the other being that I had wine last night with the gi...

Having a Ball...

I'm a bit amused by the TV rendition of the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire Series.  It's great, but let me warn you:  it's very HBO.  I'm amused that lots of readers of the Laur...

Just wanted to share a few dark moments from my past... This is me and my sister on Christmas morning.  I'm the one looking neglected because no one bothered to brush my hair.  Notice the si...
